Missionary Victor Guzman was sent to Mexico by Unity Baptist Church in 1969. The Lord has used Bro. Guzman to begin several churches in Mexico City. In 1985, the Lord led Bro. Guzman to the city of Saltillo. In 1997, Shalom Missionary Baptist Church was organized there under the leadership of Bro. Guzman.

The Lord has used Bro. Guzman to lay much of the foundation of the Mexican Missionary Baptist work. Many years ago, Bro. Guzman established a Bible institute in LaQuebrada Missionary Baptist Church in Mexico City that is now a very successful Seminary that has trained many pastors and missionaries. The Lord has blessed in such a way that missionaries from Mexico are now being sent to other parts of the world to establish churches.

Bro. Guzman received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock. In 2003, an Honorary Doctorate of Missions degree was conferred upon him by the Seminary in Little Rock for his faithful service as missionary in Mexico. He lives in Saltillo with his wife, Isabel. They raised two children in the admonition of the Lord: Daniel, their son, and Petite, their daughter.
